Biography

Wilton Rooks has over 10 years of experience in water-related issues in the ACF Basin. He was one of the founders of the ACF Stakeholders and served as its first Chair. ACF Stakeholders is a collaborative effort by water interested individuals and organizations in the ACF Basin to develop a Sustainable Water Management Plan for equitable sharing of the water in the basin. The organization consists of representatives from Georgia, Florida, and Alabama with water interest including water supply, recreation, agriculture, seafood, industry, environmental, power generation and others. His career included serving as a Propulsion Engineer on the F-1 Rocket Engine during the Apollo program and numerous capacities in the Information Technology industry. More recently he serves as a member of the Executive Committee for the ACF Stakeholders and as President of the Lake Lanier Association.
